Esports is expanding, and more competitions and games are being included in betting markets. It is not surprising to see esports betting growing in popularity, given how popular sports competitions have become in recent years.

Top 5 Esports Betting Tournaments 2022

The competitive esports scene is expanding quickly along with the esports industry. There are significant esports competitions with enormous prize pools and crowds of millions of fans. Here's a pick of the best five to look out for as the second half of 2022 winds down.

The International

The International is the biggest event on the Dota 2 schedule and the most popular esports betting event available at virtually all esports betting platforms online. Given that most of its audiences are sellouts and a portion of the prize money comes from the fans, it is not surprising that the prize pool is enormous. The top Dota 2 teams worldwide are competing in this end-of-year event.

While Dota 2 is particularly liked in Asia, where China and Korea consistently dominate the top player ranks, international betting is conducted worldwide. Players' geographic location plays a big role in determining the top international esport betting sites.

The Dota Pro Circuit

Before Dota 2 The International, several competitions are held under the banner of DPC. There are 18 participating teams, with the other six having advanced to the playoff rounds in China, South America, the Commonwealth of Independent States, North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Direct invitations to compete in The International are extended to the top 12 teams on the DPC ranking order.

The 18 qualifying teams compete in a round-robin format in two groups of nine teams. The format for all games is best-of-two Maps. The top four squads from each group proceed to the Main Event's Upper Bracket, while the fifth to eighth-place teams advance to the Lower Bracket.

The Main Event has 16 teams that compete in a Double-Elimination format. Each group's last-placed squad is eliminated. Eight teams compete in the Main Event's Upper Bracket, and eight additional teams compete in the Main Event's Lower Bracket.

A best-of-one Map format is used for the Lower Bracket's opening round of play. All other matches are played using a best-of-three Maps format, except for the Grand Finals, which are played using a best-of-five Maps format.

League of Legends World Championship

The Riot Games is spread over the spring and summer months. The tournament culminates with the League of Legends World Championship, which features the top international teams. Even though the League of Legends competition does not have the highest prize pool compared to other tournaments, it has the most viewers of any esports event.

To prepare for these competitions, teams compete in leagues. The conclusion is that numerous teams from every region compete against one another. Millions of people will be watching this event, and there are many games and numerous upsets each year for online betting enthusiasts to get in on the action.

Fans can guess which team they believe will win the title of the best team in the world at each round. However, it will be crucial to research on esport betting tips so as to make informed decisions.

CS: GO Majors

There aren't many games that can boast the profile that CS: GO does in the diverse, dynamic world of esports. The CS: GO schedule has more events than any other competitive game, including the IEM, ESL, ESEA, and ad-hoc tournaments. Numerous high-level competitions occur yearly, with millions of dollars in prize money awarded.

The long-running first-person shooter competition doesn't seem to lose its appeal, especially in Europe. This game is one of the most wagered on esports in the world and hosts some of the biggest tournaments, like the PGL CS: GO Majors. The excitement is off the charts regarding which player can make their shot on each map.

Intel Extreme Masters

ESL and Valve have jointly produced the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship competition every year since 2006. The competition, which Intel sponsors, mixes several esports alongside CS: GO. Other esports include Player's Unknown Battlegrounds, League of Legends, and StarCraft II. The competitions have had 13 seasons and have been staged worldwide.

The Six Invitational

There haven't been many esports that have crashed and survived. Rainbow Six Siege has been that narrative's most popular success. It was not anticipated that the game would succeed, but because of the creators' dedication and a ton of labor, it is now one of the most popular esports in the world.

The Six Invitational, one of its tournaments, is another international championship where the greatest players from every region compete. It's not just thrilling but raises the bar with excellent teams from excellent organizations.

Apex Legends Global Series Championship

Apex Legends is the battle royale growing the fastest out of all of them. More people are watching it, whether it's the esport or the game itself. The ALGS was the climax of several competitions before the world's top teams competed in the finals.

Even though year three has not yet been declared, the tension remains when replaying the year two championship. Undoubtedly, more and more gamblers will follow everything related to Apex Legends and its esport.
